Chavez is a pony, but he's a big-boned boy; only a hand or so (4 inches) too short to be a classified a horse. He doesn't have a registered name because he was never registered with any organization, so he's a bit of a mystery. But he was a 4-H Champion before he came to AHF, and while we only showed him a few years, Chavez was never out of the top three! Now in retirement, his hobbies are annoying the mares and occasionally being ridden by Frankie, a friend of Mary's from Augustana College.
